How long is the workshop?

The workshop starts on Thursday evening, September, 29 and continues through Saturday, October 1. For 2-1/2 days, we'll work together to help you hone your observational skills and photographic vision to think more deeply about your photography and the pictures you make.

How much does the workshop cost?

If you register and pay before September 6, 2011 the cost of the workshop is $269 US, a 10% savings. After September 6, the workshop will cost $299 US.

What is included in the cost?

Your workshop fee includes the instruction and mentoring of two long-time photographers, Stuart Sipahigil and Ray Ketcham. They will be available to you throughout the 2-1/2 day workshop. The focus of the workshop is learning to see creatively close to home and therefore you are expected to know your own camera and how it works. We recommend you bring your own laptop to process your images while at the workshop as the program includes a presentation of your images and an evaluation of those images. If you've ever had your images critiqued by another photographer, this will be different. The goal is to help you move forward in your photography, not to tell you everything that you are doing wrong according to someone else's eye.

The workshop fee does not include transportation to and from Port Townsend; accommodations; or meals, drinks or gratuities.

What is the refund policy if I can't attend?

Payment in full is due upon registration. If you register and are unable to attend, you will receive a refund based on the amount of notice you are able to give us. Cancellation requests received before September 6, 2011 will receive a full refund minus a $20 administrative fee. Cancellations received after September 6, 2011 and before September 15, 2011 will receive a 50% refund minus a $20 administrative fee. No refunds will be provided after September 15, 2011. All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email.
